The Evolver Network, nonprofit subsidiary of Evolver corporation, is a collection of community spores that take action toward evolutionary culture across the globe. The organizational structure of The Evolver Network mimics that of mycelial networks: Evolver is underground everywhere and it’s popping into physical realities above ground in clusters all one mushroom shaped community at a time. With “sporeganizers” in over 50 locations in Europe, the US, Australia, and Canada, new community projects and events are being forged by these community visionaries constantly. You can find a list of Spore locations here and Spore events here.

The transformation in modern culture is being experienced by a diverse range of folks: from anarchist off-grid system-overgrowers to open source ecology tech hactivists to transformational culture permaculturists; from Strategy and Finance grad students in Chicago, to Christian graffitti artists in Cape Town to Workaway hitchhikers in Berlin. The face of evolutionary culture is diverse, and to hone in all these equally important faces of planetary regeneration, the Evolver Network’s Executive Director, Magenta, describes the need for a shift in focus “from psychedelics to plant medicine. From white new age borderline plastic shamanism to social justice and environmental science. From cerebral ideation to grounded practical application about food sovereignty and holistic healing”. The ten principles of The Evolver Network shed some light about where and how this shift is taking place:

  1. Educate Minds
  2. Build Community
  3. Restore the Environment
  4. Promote Permaculture
  5. Celebrate Art & Creativity
  6. Advocate Social Justice
  7. Highlight Holistic Healing (H3)
  8. Design Better Systems
  9. Transform Economy
  10. Dream Big

Through this lens we can analyze our local projects as being a part of one or more of these ten principles and then take them to the next level through community Spores. Maybe your community already has a Spore and you want to contribute to its growth, or perhaps you are the only person in your city who’s ever even considered the idea of a planetary culture and you want to sprout your own Spore. Either way, the network is growing and it’s inspiring to feel the nutrients being channeled through our selves, our localities, and our collective impact on the planet. Personal initiative leadership distributed on a global scale is how the Evolver Network thrives and grows, so when you’re devising new pathways to send vital nutrients to the projects that need them most, remember your process and create a template for other spores to follow your innovation!

As a culture we’re no longer using our energy to fight a system that doesn’t serve us: we’re honing in our “visionary sobriety” to build a new economy with diverse forms of capital, developing resource efficient systems and spaces for living and working together, and tapping into cutting edge platforms to broadcast our creativity and limitless human potential. I want to welcome you to the new Evolver Network, where all of this work is converging in all the right ways with just the right conditions for a large scale bloom.
