The Atitlan Organics Permaculture Farm is an amazing destination for school field trips and family outings. The beautiful natural surroundings provide a great setting for a variety of educational activities. Children of all ages can come and enjoy learning about where food comes from and what we can do to help protect and improve the environment. Baby goats and chicks, ponds with frogs and lizards, and fresh fruit and berries to eat, all make this an unforgettable destination.

The week long Permaculture Workshop is a great way for people to get acquainted with permaculture design and sustainable living, while enjoying beautiful Lake Atitlan. This course is not the Permaculture Design Certification Course, but rather, it is an introductory course intended for people who are interested but not ready to commit to two weeks and the cost of the full certification course. Complete with lectures and hands-on practice with local Mayan farmers, as well as a final design project, these workshops are a great value for travelers and people who want a great learning experience in a new and beautiful setting.
