Join Project Nuevo Mundo this coming winter in Guatemala on January 10-24, 2015 for a a two-week Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course.

The PDC is an internationally-recognized, 72 hour course based on Bill Mollison’s Designers’ Manual, teaching how we can use today’s tools and technology to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all species.

Permaculture Design is a method of landscape planning that can be applied at scales from the home garden to city block to village to farm. It is an ethically based whole-systems design approach that uses concepts, principles, and methods derived from ecosystems, indigenous peoples, and other time-tested practices to create sustainable human settlements and institutions.

The course covers sustainable living systems for a wide variety of landscapes and climates. It includes the application of permaculture principles to food production, home design, construction, energy conservation and generation, and explores alternative economic structures and legal strategies supporting permaculture solutions.
