General Info:
We have been living and working on our current site in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala since April 2010. Our property is situated a twenty minute walk above the lakefront town of Tzununa, nestled below a Kaq’chikel indigenous community of approximately 25 families. The project site is nine acres, and is cultivated with coffee and avocado trees, as well as various fruit trees and vegetable and herb gardens. We currently have four members in our project, and at any given time there are between two and six volunteers on site.
Volunteer / Internship & Educational Opportunities available:

The project site is nine acres, and is cultivated with coffee and avocado trees, as well as various fruit trees and vegetable and herb gardens. We currently have four members in our project, and at any given time there are between two and six volunteers on site. The volunteer quarters include a simple dormitory, a living space and a kitchen where fresh vegetarian meals are prepared. Activities vary depending on the personnel on site, the current projects being developed, and the time of year. Much time is spent maintaining and developing gardens and preparing fresh and wholesome meals. Projects include garden work and orchard maintenance, landscaping, natural building, renewable energy solutions, waste recycling, carpentry, creating ecological solutions for our daily needs, developing water systems, participating in local environmental efforts, and organizing workshops and events. If not engaged in a project or preparing meals there are many things to do such as enjoy the natural scenery or hike to several waterfalls and caves in the area or simply play, dance, learn Spanish, sing, laugh, do yoga, make a fire, meditate or go for a swim… Experience a simple life with functional solutions that allow us to be in harmony with the richness nature has to offer.
