Raquel Hugo

Raquel brings over 13 years of experience in holistic design, constructivist education, visionary business leadership, and traditional healing wisdom to our team. She has held the seat of Tribal Relations and Community Engagement since the founding of the TCN Core Council, where her leadership has been dedicated to the articulation of communications within our organization to embody the values of TCN and foster strong alliances with other organizations dedicated to positive social and environmental impact. She focuses on the cross-cultural healing and critical pedagogy that is necessary to develop systems to sustain diverse collaborative relationships for humanity to thrive within. Weaving the practical and inspired, she founded Urban Opposite in 2005, a holistic design consulting firm dedicated to enhancing the impact of ethical businesses through purposeful brand identity development and strategic partnerships. Currently she leads Paloma, a Portland business, offering services as a transformational life coach, business consultant, and facilitator for multicultural collaborating groups. She also serves as an administrative program director within Earth Peoples United and the Earth and Spirit Council, where she develops inter-generational transformational programming dedicated to deepening one’s connection to the natural world. Her gift is to weave the wisdom of traditional leadership with the emergent conscious business practices of our time to empower and optimize the potential of each individual to make purposeful impacts in our world.
